This run-down home had been occupied by its elderly owner for decades, and was in need of major repairs and renovation.

Indoor work involved redesigning the living space, demolishing a number of walls, remodelling certain rooms (extending a bedroom and creating a new bathroom), rewiring, fitting a new kitchen including masonry, plumbing and tiling, re-plastering and painting throughout, restoring oak parquet floors, overhauling all windows and shutters, fitting cupboards in the bedrooms and other carpentry work to create a home offering period charm and modern comforts.
